Well as many of you know our area got hit with a pretty good ice storm last week. Marleene and I didnt go into work until Thursday, lucky us we both have jobs that we can do from home, so we didnt miss a beat. We didnt leave the house until Wednesday afternoon to go to Wal-Mart just to get out of the house. 3 straight days of being confined in the house, with Maggie and Zoe was just too much. I have never seen so much ice, our entire yard was covered in ice, every blade of grass individually coated in ice. The ice on our cars was probably 1/4-1/2 inch thick on Thursday morning. It was incredible. So I thought I would share some pictures with you.

This is our yard, completely covered in ice, very crunchy to walk on.

This is our fence, the top half was covered in a sheet of ice. It was below freezing for 3 straight days.

This is our backyard, on Tuesday I think. The rocks were iced over, and the sand pit was frozen. I had never seen frozen sand until this storm. Very strange.

Marleene bundled up trying to stay warm.

And here is Maggie and Zoe on their frozen swimming pool. They loved getting up on the pool. This picture also shows a good example of the frozen ice covered rocks.
Anyways, we had a fun time sitting in the house, we actually had a fire going all 3 days, (love having a fire place!). Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Kaiser thinks Zoe & Maggie are crazy sitting on the ice. He made his trips to the backyard as fast as possible so he wouldn't have to stand on the ice long. And when he was on the ice, he would hold two paws up so they wouldn't be cold. Very interesting to watch!
Kaiser would be right, Maggie & Zoe are crazy, but not just for sitting on the ice, thats just the icing on the cake.
