Wow, we have had a frog giggin ton of rain in our area this week. At one point Marble Falls got 16" in 6 hours, Lake Travis rose 12' in 5 or 6 hours, roads were closed, and many homes and business were flooded. Its been nuts!
The park down the street from our house looks completely different right now. The little lake that its near is super flooded.
That path that is leading into the lake leads through that stand of Oaks to a jungle jim, which is almost completely covered in water. I would guess that to walk from where the water covers the path now, to where the water was before all this rain, is about 80-100 yards.

If you look closely, you can see the top of the jungle jim in this picture. Also, notice how the water had already gone down, see the darker areas on the tree trunks, thats where the water was earlier that day.

This stand of trees is normally about 5o yards in front of the lake. Its incredible to see. It has been the top story on the news all week, we even made it on the national news a couple days ago. And they are predicting more rain for the weekend!
But dont worry about us, our house hasnt washed away just yet, and Maggie and Zoe do know how to swim, just in case.

I haven't seen much of a change around here - but where Josh works it flooded pretty good. Thanks for posting the pics, and for distracting me while I should be packing!
