Ok, so everyone should go out right now and buy a Nintendo Wii. I just got one this month, used birthday money to buy it off eBay, and it is awesome! The whole motion sensor controller thing is really cool, it does take about 5 minutes to get used to, but then, TOTAL AWESOMENESS! I got a flippin sweet deal on eBay for mine, paid a little more than it would have cost me at the store but I got 3 extra games, 2 extra Wiimotes and 1 extra Nunchuck, plus I got some stuff for the Gamecube, which you can also play on the Wii. Yes thats right, all Gamecube games and controllers are compatible with the Wii.
But wait, theres more! This thing is age friendly. Nintendo really did something right, because I got my mother-in-law, who is not video game savy, playing the Wii and enjoying herself. We bowled, played baseball, and she even made her own Mii.
What makes this thing so fun, well one of the things, is that its simple! Yes, simple, you move your arm to swing a bat or tennis racket. You make punching motions to box, you move your arm to bowl, or hit a golf ball. Its that simple.

You can start off by making a Mii, which is the character you can use when you play the Wii sports games (Baseball, Tennis, Bowling, Golf & Boxing). You can make your Mii look as much like you or as little like you as you want.
Marleene's Mii getting ready to bowl.
Marleene's Mii getting ready to bowl. There are even some really good celebrity Mii's out there that you can make, then you can box with your favorite celeb and really take it to them.
Hey, who wouldnt like to get in the ring with Newman! And beyond just the fun of playing, its actually a bit of a work out! Swinging your arm back and forth during a tennis match can certainly make one sore.
Plus someone makes a whole line of controllers that look like, well a baseball bat, a tennis racket, boxing gloves, a gun (for all you Call of Duty people, or other shooting games) etc...
So take my advice, GO GET A Wii. You will be glad you did. If you dont believe me, come by and try mine, I will make a believer out of you.
