Due Date

Well, today is Marleene's due date but so far nothing is happening. On Tuesday night Marleene lost her mucous plug, so things seem to be progressing along. Her next appointment is on Monday but we are sure hoping that it happens before then, preferably this weekend.

We will keep everyone updated via email/phone/text.

Counting The Days...

Well here we are 10 days until Marleene's due date. With each passing day we find ourselves asking "Is this baby ever going to be born?" I know, I know, everyone keeps telling us that first babies are usually late, but geeze this past week or so has been awful, just sitting, and waiting and wondering... Our doctor is out of town for the rest of the week on vacation with his family (how dare he leave this close to our due date?!) so I guess it would be ok if we make it until next week. It would be hard to imagine going through 9 months with the same doctor, then all of the sudden to have some new person there for the biggest part of the whole process, well, that would just be weird.

Marleene's next doctor appointment is on Monday, and I am hoping that things will have progressed enough by then that we will get to just go across the parking lot to the hospital and have this baby. This waiting stuff is getting ridiculous. So who knows, maybe by this time next week baby Mia will be here and I will be blogging about a serious lack of sleep and the wonders of parenthood. One can only hope....

Let the countdown begin

Ok, as you may or may not know, Marleene is pregnant. Schwing! We are now entering the home stretch, this Saturday (March 7) will be her 37th week. Which leaves us with not much time before baby graces us with her presence.

Marleene's due date is March 27th. However, I am predicting an early birth. Originally I was predicting between the 14 & 17th, but I have since changed my prediction to more in the 20-23rd. When they last did an ultrasound the dr guesstimated the tiny tot to be almost 5 pounds, and this was at least 2 weeks ago, so she is surely over 5lbs now, and might we be on her way to a whopping 6 pounds.
